The art of henna and bridal henna has been around for centuries in the Far East. It is supposed to surprise and delight the bride groom on his wedding day. Unlike the bond of marriage which was intended to last forever, the henna is suppose to wear off in just days/weeks. It is vibrant and colorful but is just a temporary tattoo.  My stepmother’s birthday was the last week of October, and my dad decided to surprise her with a  professional henna application. At their home with all the kids and grand kids around. The artistry is unbelievable, and it didn’t take long to accomplish. I love detailed and intricate patterns, that were placed on both of her hands and forearms.
